[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #000000, width: 300px; height: 300px;] suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall
The first of September was always an exciting day for Andrew Wood, for it meant the start of another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The school was easily one of his favorite places in the world…though it wasn’t because of the education. Honestly, he didn’t care much about the actual education at all. Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts were the only subjects he even cared enough to do well in and the rest was all a disaster. It wasn’t that he was stupid, no Andrew was anything but that, his attention was simply focused on, what he considered to be, more important things. After six years at the school, it was pretty clear to most people what those things were: girls and Quidditch.
It was no surprise that the young wizard had a focus on Quidditch. Considering he was the son of the famous Oliver Wood, it would be a shocker if he didn’t love the sport. He’d been in love with the game from the day he’d been born, much to the pride of his father. He’d earned a spot as a chaser for Gryffindor’s Quidditch team his second year and had been made Quidditch Captain his fifth year. He was every bit obsessed with the sport as his father was and was determined to follow in Oliver’s footsteps and become a pro himself. So far, he was on the right track and not just because of who his father was. Andrew was every bit as skilled as his father had been and had the potential to be even better. He certainly seemed to have more success as a captain than Oliver had and was determined to keep it that way. Quidditch was his passion, but he wanted to make a name for himself. He didn’t want to live in the shadow of his father.
Maybe it was that thinking that had led him to turn out as a complete opposite from Oliver. Aside from the obsession with Quidditch, Andrew wasn’t like Oliver at all. While Oliver had been a fairly humble guy, Andrew radiated arrogance. He knew he was good and he liked to show it off to the world. Also unlike Oliver, (who had solely been focused on school and Quidditch and too oblivious to have much of a romantic life) Andrew was quite the ladies’ man. He was constantly flirting with members of the opposite sex and trying to impress them. His good looks certainly seemed to help. He stood at six feet, four inches tall. While he naturally had a lean build, the years of Quidditch had given his muscles a toned look. He had short, light brown hair and a charming pair of blue eyes that had the slightest tint of grey to them. Yes, he had become quite the lady killer during his time at Hogwarts, something that had gotten him into trouble many, many times. Which brought him back to the present moment…
”Okay Andrew, are you sure you have everything? I don’t want a repeat of the past six years where we receive an owl tomorrow with a list of things you need,” Victorie Wood asked her son.
Andrew chuckled at the thought, knowing very well that he was going to end up sending an owl requesting items to be sent to him anyways. ”Of course. You really think I would forget something?” he asked innocently.
Victorie just shook her head. ”Thank Merlin this is your last year. Now, you’ll be sure to look after your sister?” she questioned.
”Do you even have to ask? If any bloke even looks at her wrong, I’ll take care of him. She’s in good hands, as always. ‘Course, you don’t want to mention that to her. She’ll blow a gasket,” he said, amusement flickering through his eyes.
A small smile crossed the older woman’s lips. Despite her son’s arrogant, and slightly rebellious, attitude, she knew his words were true. The only thing Andrew ever seemed to be serious about, besides Quidditch, was his little sister. He was quite protective over her. However, the smile lasted onl a moment, quickly replaced by a more stern look. ”And if I get one more letter from the Headmistress about you and any girls, so help me…” she threatened.
Andrew couldn’t hide the smirk that appeared on his face. ”You don’t need to worry about that mum. I’ll make sure not to get caught this time. I’ll pick the classrooms that no one even thinks about going in,” he laughed.
This earned him a slap on the head and Victorie didn’t look pleased. ”You’re almost seventeen years old, so try acting like it. I don’t know why you think it’s acceptable to go around shagging-“ she began, breaking off as she realized her voice was getting rather loud and she was starting to receive stares. She let out a sigh. ”I just don’t see why you act like this. You’re father certainly never did. You have N.E.W.T.s this year…though I dare say there are only a handful of classes you’ve even been able to move on in. You should think about those instead of girls…” she lectured.
Andrew rolled his eyes, having stopped listening after a few words in. He seemed to get this lecture all of the time and he didn’t care to hear it. His mother could be so strict and grouchy sometimes. ”Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever mum. Anyways, look, I need to get a good seat so send my love to dad and enjoy these few months of quiet and all of that,’ he said, trying to get out of there while he still could. It was a good thing his father wasn’t there, otherwise he’d be stuck listenting to lectures up until the Hogwarts Express left. His parents didn’t seem to much approve of his lifestyle and lack of focus towards his education…
After being forced into a hug and promising to send letters every week, he took his trunk and Snitch (his Tawny Owl) and headed onto the train. His sister took off to go do her own thing and Andrew was able to find an empty compartment. Of course, considering he was now in the compartment, the Gryffindor was sure it wouldn’t be empty for long. He was sure some friends would show up…perhaps some of his teammates too and, of course, some girls. Yes, it was time to begin his last year at Hogwarts and he was going to make sure it was a memorable one.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- It was weird to be back at Kings Cross station so soon. It had felt like only minutes ago school had ended for the summer. But Rose didn't mind that she was back. Hogwarts was her home, and it would be sooo nice to get away from her nagging mother for another year! Rose bolted forward towards the train, without even a second glance at her parents. She had done all her goodbye-ing in the car ride over. She had told them she loved them, promised to write, and blah blah blah. Rose was in no mood for a sappy good bye. But of course, Hugo was, and he stayed behind holding his mother's hand walking slowly towards the train.
Rose handed her trunk to the kind man who was putting luggage on the train, and she turned to wave goodbye and blow a kiss to her watching parents. Sure, she loved them, and yeah she would miss them. But... all her friends were on the train. And it could get soo embarrassing standing next to the famous Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, and Uncle Harry was around somewhere.
She quickly shrugged it off as her father waved back, but then he was walking towards her. Rose sighed and hoped off the side of the train, to meet him halfway. Be good. He said as he took her in for an embrace. Your mother and I love you and support you, no matter what you do. But if you write to us that you're dating another Slytherin... I'll- Rose pushed away from him and shrugged.
Can't promise anything. Don't get your knickers in a knot, daddy, you know I'm a good girl. I'll see you at Christmas! Bye! And with that said she hoped on the train again and vanished into the compartments.
It only took her a few moments to find Andrew sitting all by his lonesome. Her relationship with Andrew was complicated, they were on the same Quidditch team. They were friends. But oh Lord... he was so hot. Sometimes Rose just couldn't help herself!
Andrew!! She called, as she walked into his compartment. Quickly she sat down beside him before anyone else could claim the spot. How has your summer been? She asked with a big grin.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #000000, width: 300px; height: 300px;] suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall There were still several minutes before the Hogwarts Express was due to leave and, for the time being, Andrew was content to sit alone in his compartment. It was quite easy for him to become lost in thought. He had all kinds of Quidditch strategies that he’d come up with over the summer that could stand to be tweaked and changed to better fit his team. He’d assembled a pretty good team and they only had lost one player from last year. It was sure to be a good season for Gryffindor, and he was so excited to get it started. Of course, his teammates might not share that enthusiasm. After all, he did tend to take after his father when it came to that aspect and so his practices were slightly on the brutal side. He didn’t really see a problem with any of it, but his team didn’t seem to share the enthusiasm.
He was immersed in these thoughts when his compartment door slid open and it took him a moment to realize that he was no longer alone. He blinked several times in an attempt to clear his mind as he turned his head away from the window to see who had come to join him. As luck would have it, it was none other than Rose Weasley. She was another chaser on the Quidditch team and, though a year younger, quite the sight to look at.
He flashed her a grin of brilliant white teeth, giving the slightest nod of his head as a form of a greeting. ”My summer was fairly exciting, actually. I was able to spend a lot of time traveling around with my dad for all of his Quidditch stuff. It’s pretty smart, meeting all of those people you know? I mean, it does make my chances of getting recruited even better, after all,” he explained, kicking his legs out to rest them on the seat across from him and turning slightly to better face the redhead. ”I’ve been working on some strategies and practice routines for us too. We’re going to win the cup again, there’s just no doubt about it,” he added excitedly.
Honestly, he could probably go on talking about those things for the whole duration of the trip. It would be a lie if he were to say it wasn’t tempting. He did quite enjoy talking about himself… However, Rose had always come across as one who was bit more on the firey side and, as a result, didn’t quite seem as keen to put up with things like that. It didn’t matter though, he had other ways of working his charm. Not that he should even be working his charm on one of his teammates but he was pretty sure it was impossible for him to not try. Besides, there was no harm in it for nothing would come of it, he was pretty sure. ”What about you? Have a good summer?” he questioned.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- As he spoke she watched the way his mouth moved, and his jaw line... and for a moment, she was just memorised. But she snapped out of it, when he started talking about new quidditch strategies. Rose could simply smile and laugh as he rambled on about his new ideas for the Quidditch team. She was very excited to his new ideas in action, if there was one thing that was more important to Rose than anything else, it was Quidditch. "Great! I can't wait! She said honestly.
”What about you? Have a good summer?”
Rose smiled happily, "Yes, I had a great summer. Spent a lot of time with my mums parents. Worked with my cousins on flying techniques. I also did a mini internship at the Ministry that my dad got me." She said with a thoughtful smile as she tried to remember everything she did. "My brother wanted to travel a bit, so we did a weekend trip in Ireland, that was fun." She contemplated a moment if anything else was of importance, "That's about it."
Rose glanced out the window to see Hugo finally boarding the train. Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny were outside talking to her parents, Rose sighed and slowly brought her attention back to Andrew.
Her smile came back as her eyes focused on him. Andrew was such a great guy, and she was so glad he was her friend and he was in her life. "I really missed you over the summer." She blurted out, almost instantly she felt her cheeks grow hot, but she covered it up with a shrug and a smirk.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #000000, width: 300px; height: 300px;] suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall Andrew nodded his head as he listened to Rose talk about her summer. It must be exciting, being related to all of those famous people. Actually, he was Oliver Wood’s son. He knew just how exciting all of that was. He’d even met Harry Potter before. He had heard so much about the famous wizard, though the things his father told him had little to do with the defeat of Voldemort. His dad always liked to go on about how brilliant of a Seeker Harry was. He had to have been to make the Quidditch team in his first year. Rose’s father had been the one to become Keeper after his father had left. Needless to say, he harbored some respect towards the families. ”Working on flying techniques is good,” he said once she had finished speaking. ”I certainly hope everyone else was smart enough to work on things like that,” he added, his brows furrowing at the thought. He had specifically made sure to mention it before the end of the last school year. He would know soon enough if his words had been taken to heart.
”What kind of internship were you doing?” Andrew questioned, his gaze following Rose’s out the window. Sure enough, Harry Potter himself was standing outside. ”Does it get annoying going out in public with them?” he asked, amusement coloring his tone. From his own experiences with his father, he could only begin to imagine how much Rose’s family was swarmed. He thought it was pretty great, personally, having people constantly around and the spotlight on him. Well, granted, it was usually on his father but…still…it was pretty much the same thing. Besides, it wouldn’t be long until the spotlight was on him and he wouldn’t have to share it anymore…
He started to go off into another one of his daydream’s about being a famous Quidditch player. He almost missed Rose’s sudden outburst and the light blush that colored her face. Almost. ”Who didn’t miss me?” he asked with a smirk, feeling as smug as ever. ”You don’t have to worry any longer though, because now I’m here. It was a long summer, I know, but there’s still plenty of Andrew to go around,” he assured the redhead, only partly joking. He had barely gotten on the train and already he was working his charm. The pretty redhead was certainly a good one to be using it on even if she was one of his teammates, he noted, sneaking a quick, but appreciative, glance. ”You know, if you missed me so much, you could have sent a letter,” he added, still quite amused by the whole thing. He wouldn’t have minded writing to her over the summer. Perhaps he should have thought of it himself. Of course, it was hard trying to keep track of the people he needed to be sending letters to. It was a harsh life.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- She smiled happily as he asked about her internship. It had been such a great experience working at the ministry, that she was very happy to tell anyone who wanted to know. "Well, I was just working with my dad basically. And a couple other aurors." She said nodding happily, "I got to go on a few raids, and go looking for criminals. It was really cool. But mostly I worked in the offices and did some paperwork. I was just like... a helping hand, to whoever needed one." Rose said with a slight laugh.
”Does it get annoying going out in public with them?”
Her heart sank a little, so he had caught her staring out at her family. Her blue eyes looked out again, to see a few people asking Harry and Ron for autographs. Ginny and her mum had backed off a little from the crowd. Rose sighed and rolled her eyes, as she brought her focus back to Andrew.
"Yeah it does, I mean it's constantly crowds around my family. And sometimes my uncle can just be so... arrogant. I can't stand it sometimes. I should be used to it. But that doesn't mean I'm okay with it. Especially on like family trips-" She bit her lip and grinned, "I don't even need to explain this to you, you know what I'm talking about, with the adoring fans. Though, I know it doesn't bother you." Rose laughed again. She liked talking to Andrew it was really easy to talk to him.
Rose slowly brushed a strand of loose auburn hair away from her pale face, and tucked it behind her ear as Andrew talked about how he was here now, and there was plenty of him to go around. She rolled her eyes and smiled, yup, that was the normal Andrew she knew. She loved that he made jokes like this, and that he was charming... He was one of the only guys that was actually this charming in a sarcastic kind of way. She loved that about him. It made him unique.
”You know, if you missed me so much, you could have sent a letter."
Her cheeks turned bright red. In all honesty she had written out three or four letters about her summer, and saying how they should meet up sometime. But she never sent them. Couldn't bring herself to send them. What would he have said her pathetic little letters? They were cheesy, and lame. She couldn't bring herself to send them. "I... I thought you wouldn't want to write me." She lied, with a shrug.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #000000, width: 300px; height: 300px;] suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall Andrew quirked an eyebrow, impressed by the sounds of Rose’s internship. ”Oh workin’ with the Aurors huh?” he asked, though it was meant more of a rhetorical comment, considering she had clearly stated she was working with the Aurors. ”That does sound pretty exciting, I’ll give you that. I think it’d be a blast, going off on those raids and putting dark wizards in their place. Of course, there’s no shot in hell that I’d ever be an Auror. Too many rules and, well, pretty sure I bombed all of those chances when I took my O.W.L.s,” he chuckled, clearly unashamed by the matter. ”Is that what you want to do then?” he asked, surprisingly genuinely interested in what Rose planned on doing after Hogwarts.
He looked slightly puzzled as she started to rant on about how she disliked the constant crowds of people and her uncle acting arrogant. Okay, the crowds of people she could understand…but the arrogant uncle? Did she have something against arrogant people or what? She seemed to tolerate him just fine and he was as arrogant as they came (yes, he knew he was arrogant and he was proud of it). ”Ah yes, don’t you just hate those arrogant little bastards?” he asked dryly, clearly very amused by the thought of it all. He ran a hand through his brown hair, a smirk crossing his face. ”Yeah, I know exactly what you’re talking about Weasley. My father is only a famous Quidditch player, after all. You’re right with that though; it doesn’t bother me at all. There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging those that are great,” he told her with a shrug.
There was a moment of silence after that, in which his gaze drifted from Rose’s family outside, to the girl herself. He certainly did a good job of assembling a good looking team, didn’t he? Looks were important after all, in his mind. Rose Weasley was probably the best looking one on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, aside from himself of course. No one was better looking than Andrew Wood. He would know, he’d looked in a lot of mirrors.
The smirk on his face only seemed to grow as a shade of red appeared on Rose’s cheeks. Apparently he had done something right. ”Oh really?” he asked, raising one of his thick eyebrows once more. He was attempting to force a serious expression onto his face, but he was having a hard time fighting off the amusement. ”I would have written you. Why wouldn’t I want to? Why do you seem so flustered Weasley?” he asked, an all-out grin on his face now. Oh, there were so many things he could say, so many things he could imply…however, he would wait to see her fish around for words for a moment before he really gave her a reason to be flustered.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- ”Is that what you want to do then?”
Rose shrugged and shook her head back and forth, "Yes, and no. I'd love to help people and stuff... and the auror life is exciting..." Rose bit her lip for a moment as she thought about it, "No idea really what I want to do. Maybe work at St. Mungos... but I don't really like blood. Maybe teach flying at Hogwarts..." Rose giggled slightly, and shrugged her shoulders again. In all honesty, Rose had not given her life outside of Hogwarts much thought. Her parents would be happy to house her until she was 20ish, so if she didn't figure out her life right away it would be fine. And plus, if she decided that she wanted to go back to school and get more credits to do something exciting with her life, her mother would be sooo supportive. "What do you want to do?" She asked curiously, she loved learning what people wanted to do with their lives. It opened up a secret door into their lives, that she wouldn't usually see.
Rose rolled her eyes at him, "I don't hate arrogant people. It's just the way he acts... maybe arrogant isn't the right word. He just... like... gets so superficial, like he's putting on a show or something." Rose looked back outside to see her uncle shaking the hand of someone vigorously and in a manner that seemed over done to her. "He just acts fake around his fans." Rose sighed and looked back at Andrew, she shrugged it off. She didn't really care too much, her parents didn't really get bombarded with fans. At least, it didn't happen that often. But if someone recognized one of them, then yeah they would be, but it wasn't that common of an occurrence.
She felt him staring at her, and she raised her blue eyes to stare back. She bit her lip for a moment, but her lip slipped forward as she smiled at him. God he was attractive. She didn't know what it was about him that she liked most, maybe his smile... or his eyes... or his jawline...
”Oh really? I would have written you. Why wouldn’t I want to? Why do you seem so flustered Weasley?”
She sat up straighter, and ran a hand through her hair, pushing it out of her eyes. "I'm not flustered, Wood." She said raising her eyebrows. Of course, she could act as un-flustered as she wanted too. But it wouldn't get rid of her bright, hot, red cheeks. "I just didn't think you'd want to talk to me, that's all." She smirked back at him, and slowly turned her gaze away from him. She stared off into the distance, trying to think of anything else but her stupidity. "So... nice weather, huh?" She said lamely.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #000000, width: 300px; height: 300px;] suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall ”Oh yeah, not much more exciting than being an Auror,” Andrew agreed, nodding his head. In fact, if he wasn’t so set on playing Quidditch (and actually focused on his education), he was pretty sure he would want to be an Auror. ”They say times are starting to get dark again, y’know? Dad seems to think so anyways. Sides are being taken and…who knows what’s going to happen? Being an Auror is definitely the best way to get in on all of that action,” he pointed out, sounding quite serious for once. Even he was paying attention to the brewing war and, after hearing all of the stories from his parents, the Order of the Phoenix seemed like a good team to be on. Of course, his last year of Hogwarts had yet to even start. There was no use in thinking about all of that now.
He actually laughed when she asked him what he wanted to do. ”Blimey, I’m almost insulted that you don’t already know!” he told her, shaking his head in mock sorrow. Really though, wasn’t it obvious what he wanted to do? He only talked about it at least twenty times a day. Did she not pay attention to his talks in practice? No, no way. Who wouldn’t want to pay attention to his talks? ”I’m going to play Quidditch, of course! I’m on the right track for it too, so long as we have another good season. Of course, being Oliver Wood’s son helps a lot too…but I don’t want to be able to play just because of who my dad is, know what I mean? I want to make my own name. Be famous for what I do,” he explained, sounding somewhat bitter towards the end. He loved his father, he loved being Oliver Wood’s son…but he didn’t want to spend his life being known as ‘Oliver’s kid’. He didn’t want to live his shadow. Rose, at least, could probably relate to that, considering all of the people she was related to.
Then, as if he realized he might actually be starting to talk about his feelings (Merlin forbid), he changed the subject, focusing once more on how flustered Rose seemed to be. ”I’m talking to you right now, aren’t I? You look very flustered right now, actually,” he informed her with a smirk, enjoying every moment of this. His blue eyes focused on hers and he was silent for a moment as he watched her, appearing to be in deep thought.
He gave her a look that clearly questioned her sanity when she tried to change the subject and ask about the weather. ”Nice try, but you can’t get out of this that easy,” he informed her smugly. ”Why, if I didn’t know any better-and trust me, I do-I would say you might actually be embarrassed or something! Why is that Rose?” he questioned innocently. ”It’s okay to admit your feelings, no one would blame you. I mean, this is me we’re talking about. I just tend to have that effect on people, it’s both a burden and a gift,” he explained, sighing dramatically. ”I mean, really, if you wanted to hook up or something, all you had to do was ask,” he finished, looking smug once more. Andrew was a guy who did not lack in self-confidence by any means.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Quidditch, that was a good option for him. And yeah, didn't she know that? Whatever, it never hurt to ask again. Quidditch would be a good career for him, all the fame and glory. Well, if he could make it. Become his own person and not live in his father's shadow. Which was exactly what he said he wanted to do. Rose nodded in agreement, she could understand that. She didn't want to be famous. She wanted a normal life after Hogwarts, that much she knew.
”I’m talking to you right now, aren’t I? You look very flustered right now, actually,”
Rose shrugged off his comment, still not looking at him. She didn't really care what he thought. Even if it was true. Even if she was actually very flustered and didn't really know how to handle this situation. She didn't care. She stared straight ahead, a small grin on her face. She could feel her cheeks were starting to cool off, and that made her happy. It allowed her to relax a bit. But he didn't stop bugging her about how she was acting. Why would he? It was Andrew Wood after all, it wasn't like she was dealing with a normal human.
For a moment she tuned him out, and just focused on her own thoughts. Okay, she was basically in a corner, and she needed to push him back. She needed to regain control of this situation, fast. Or else Andrew would think... well... she didn't know what he would think. But it wouldn't be good. She turned to look at him, just in time to catch his last few words.
”I mean, really, if you wanted to hook up or something, all you had to do was ask."
Her grin grew, her lips pursed, and it took all of her will power not to burst out laughing. She took a breath and regained her composure. Now, she could regain control.
Rose adjusted the way she was sitting, so she faced him. She rested one arm on the top of the seat, and slowly leaned in, closer to him, so there was only inches of space between them. With her free hand, she slowly brought it down to rest on his leg. Rose batted her eyes at him, she bit her lip, and slowly started to run a finger up and down his leg. "I bet you'd like it if I asked... right, Andrew? Wouldn't you just love to see what I'm like? To know what I can do?" Almost instantly, she pulled back and retracted her hand from his leg. "Too bad, I'm not that kind of girl." She smirked at him, and tilted her head gently to the side to give him a wink.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #000000, width: 300px; height: 300px;] suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall For a moment, Andrew didn’t think Rose was going to respond at all. She had looked away and wasn’t making any attempt at replying. This, of course, only made the seventeen year old feel even smugger about what was going on. He must have been spot on with his assumption. Granted, he hadn’t seen it coming, but hey, he couldn’t complain. Rose Weasley was a good choice. She had that darker hair that kept her from looking like a ginger (no offense to any of the lighter redheads, but he just wasn’t a fan). Then there were those legs, those lips…honestly, everything about her was pretty much attractive. He didn’t know why he hadn’t thought of it sooner!
Then, without any warning, she was suddenly leaning in closer. She just kept coming closer and closer until there were a mere inches separating them. Andrew felt his eyes widen slightly and his breath caught in his throat. Was this really happening right now? The train hadn’t even left the station and already… Wow, this was a new record for him for sure. His eyes were on her lips and when he felt her hand on his leg, he thought he might melt right there. This was almost considered torture, he was pretty sure, but he was too mesmerized at the moment to make any moves. ”Well, it isn’t a bad idea…” Andrew replied, the smirk spreading across his face once more.
He started to lean forward and then-she was gone.
Wait a second…
Shock flickered across his face as he took a moment to try and process what had just happened. Once he finally processed it all, the shock turned into a glare. He couldn’t believe that she had just done that. Actually, he couldn’t believe that he had actually fallen for it. That was a page right out of his book. Shame on him for not seeing it. ”That was low Weasley, seriously low!” he complained.
He let out a ‘huff’ of air, crossing his arms and turning his glare towards the window, clearly sulking. However, it only took a couple of minutes for his ego to recover, and he turned back to look at Rose, smirking once again. ”Who would have thought that Rose Weasley could be such a tease?” he asked, giving a shake of his head. ”Clearly I’m a bad influence on you. Still, I think you’re just in denial. You’ll realize it, sooner or later. Luckily for you, I suppose I can take a rain check,” he informed her, forcing himself to appear completely recovered from her low-blow. After all, he wouldn’t want her to think he was that disappointed about the whole thing.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Rose leaned back into her seat, a wicked smile played on her lips. She grabbed her bag, and pulled it closer to her. Quickly she rummaged through it, until she found her compact and her red lipstick. She glanced at Andrew, as he started to speak and she just shrugged. "Oh you'll get over it." Rose opened her compact and ran a finger along her bottom lip, so she could fix her make up.
”Who would have thought that Rose Weasley could be such a tease?”
"And you're over it." Rose said with a smirk, she opened her lipstick and started to slowly put on another layer of her red lipstick. After she was happy with that she put the stick away, and closed her compact. She glanced back at Andrew and smirked, "If you wait for a rain check, it'll be a long wait." She blew him a kiss as she readjusted how she was sitting.
Rose turned around in the seat, and she leaned all the way, and lifted her legs onto the seat, and stretched out. She placed her feet in Andrew's lap, "You don't mind do you?" She said with a pleading look in her eyes. She smiled happily at him, and said, "How's your sister? She dating that Hufflepuff yet?" Rose asked curiously, last year Addison Wood had had a serious flirtation with some Hufflepuff, Rose didn't really know the details, but maybe something had happened over the summer holidays.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #000000, width: 300px; height: 300px;] suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall Andrew shot Rose another glare, though it was clearly a half-hearted attempt. ”I’m not over it. What makes you think I’m over it?” he questioned. However, she was right. For the most part, he was over it. Still, that didn’t mean he was going to stop trying to make her feel guilty about what she had done. Besides, maybe it wasn’t as lost of a cause as she made it seem. After all, he was pretty amazing and persistence pays off. There was no way she would be able to resist his charm forever, should her seriously make an attempt to change her mind.
He rolled his eyes as she even went on to further deny that he had any chances of changing her mind. ”Yeah, yeah, yeah, that’s what they all say. I have yet to find it to be believable, just saying,” he informed the girl matter-of-factly. If anything, now he really was tempted to give it a shot and try to woo her, if only to prove that he was right. It wouldn’t be the first time he’d done it… Ah, but with the upcoming Quidditch season, maybe it wasn’t such a smart move? He was going to have to contemplate the matter. ”Really though, I only have your best interests at heart. I mean, they do say denial isn’t healthy,” he added, holding his hands up in a show of innocence.
He raised an eyebrow as she decided to rest her feet in his lap, but gave a shrug of his shoulders. ”No, I don’t mind the fact that you can’t seem to keep your hands, or I guess it’s feet in this case, off of me,” he said simply, smirking once again. Honestly, when wasn’t there a smirk on his face? Hardly ever. It was just another one of the joys that came with being Andrew Wood. He always felt confident and sure of himself. Well, almost always…
He seemed to tense up as Rose mentioned his sister and some Hufflepuff, a look of annoyance flickering through his blue eyes. ”Addy is great…but what about this Hufflepuff, huh?” he asked, clearly being the first time he had heard about the matter. Apparently he was going to have to have a talk with his little sister later…or the Hufflepuff himself, if he could get more information out of Rose. ”Just who is this bloke, huh? You better tell me. If he’s so much as even laid a finger on my sister…” he threatened, completely serious now. He was extremely protective of Addison and she was certainly way too young to snogging (or having anything to do with for that matter) members of the opposite sex.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Rose rolled her eyes. That was really all she could do. His arrogance was just... annoying, and all it did was make her roll her eyes. But she wasn't really bothered, her smile showed that she was okay with this situation. She loved the power she felt, she didn't really have power over him or any control, but she felt powerful. She now knew that he was interested in her... well, maybe not interested in the "dating" sense. But he liked the idea of hooking up, she could tell by the way he had started to lean in. And in the way he was upset she pulled away. And in the way he hadn't stopped talking about it. It was the way he was acting now, that made Rose feel powerful.
”Really though, I only have your best interests at heart. I mean, they do say denial isn’t healthy,”
Rose giggled and brushed a strand of loose auburn hair out of her face, "I'm not in denial, Wood. I am perfectly comfortable the way I am, and besides... I'm not the one still talking about it. She winked at him, and smiled happily to herself. And as he allowed her to put her feet on his lap, her smile grew. "I'm glad you don't mind." Rose said with her wicked grin. Slowly she started to move her leg from side to side, rubbing his leg again. "Glad you don't mind."
When he started talking about the Hufflepuff, and he started to threaten that he needed to talk with him, Rose could only laugh. She had never seen him this...serious or anxious before. Rose smirked at him and shrugged. "I don't know him, he's in my year though. All I know is they sat together during Potions and Charms last year..." Rose shrugged and wrinkled her nose trying to remember who he was, and more details. "All my friends thought they were cute together. They thought they should've dated.. I think they worked on an assignment or something together."
Rose looked back at Andrew and studied his serious face, it was kind of like the face he made when people joked around about Quidditch. Rose smiled, so his sister was what he cared about. "It's not that big of a deal. I was just curious."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #000000, width: 300px; height: 300px;] suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall Andrew’s brow furrowed as Rose so kindly pointed out that he was still talking about her flirtations. ”Just because I’m still talking about it doesn’t mean a bloody thing. I’m simply pointing out the facts,” he explained, slightly annoyed because she really was succeeding in getting on his nerves. He was Andrew Wood! He needed to relax, to appear cool and collected, but in control of the situation. He certainly wouldn’t want Rose to think he might seriously be interested in her or something. Not that he was ever serious about anything, but he certainly wasn’t ever serious when it came to relationships. Would he want to make out with her and other things? Of course! But even that was a risky idea, so while it really wasn’t possible for him to totally stop the flirting, he needed to quit while he was ahead. Or at least make an attempt to. These things were easier said than done for him, sadly. ”I have no problems at all,” he added, though shooting a brief glare at her leg in the process. She really needed to keep her hands, feet, limbs, and every other body part to herself, otherwise he might go insane.
The Quidditch player was less-than-thrilled when Rose had the nerve to actually laugh about the situation with his sister. Didn’t she get how serious this was? ”What’s so funny? You think I’m joking? Because I’m not. Addison is way too young to even be thinking about snogging boys and whatnot,” he snapped, momentarily losing his cool.
However, he seemed to relax slightly when she insisted that it wasn’t a big deal. ”I certainly hope not. Still, I might want to have a talk with her anyways. There are plenty of blokes in Hufflepuff, you know,” he grumbled, though not as serious as before. He was probably worrying over nothing. If his sister really had been in contact with some guy over the summer, or even seriously involved with him during the past school year, he would have heard. After all, there really wasn’t much that got past him. He was one who was well-kept in the know of things.
He ran a hand through his hair, leaning back slightly in his seat. ”I can’t believe this is my last year at Hogwarts. We have to win the Quidditch Cup again for sure, I refuse to have it any other way,” he commented, though it was almost as if he were talking more to himself than to Rose. ”What about you? I bet you’ll be devastated next year when I’m gone?” he teased.
