Her heart was a bit sad, to think this was the last time she would be riding this train to a new year at Hogwarts. She remembered her first year, a small blonde nervous Weasley who tripped when she got on the train. She remember being sorted into Gryffindor, the happiest day of her life because she carried on the Weasley tradition. Her parents had been so excited. Her years at Hogwarts had been amazing and she planned on making her last year one for the record books. Dominique walked to platform nine and three quarters with her little brothe Louis, her bags were piled on top of her brother's and he pushed the trolly. "I don't know why you can't take your own bags" Louis grumbled, Dom had to admit her brother was very helpful and did anything his sisters asked him, he was a pretty great brother. "They are heavy, thank you Louis for helping me" She smiled to him sweetly and then passed through the barrier to the Hogwarts Express. Dominique would have to put her robes on before they got to school but for now she was dressed to impress, with her Head Girl badge pinned to the lapel of her white blazer, Dominique ruffled Louis hair. "I have to get on the train and help the little firsties figure out how to hold their wands, take care of those for me? Thanks Louis!" She blew him a kiss and headed off. Yes, Dominique was a bit spoiled, even though she was the middle child she made sure she got just as much attention as the others. Dominique weaved around families kissing their children goodbye and some crying mothers and some crying children. She hoped on the train, fixing her blond hair and looking around. She helped some little kids find seats, calmed their nerves about Hogwarts and then found her own seat right before the train was about to depart. She found an empty compartment, taking a seat by the window she crossed her legs and watched the parents wave goodbye vigorously to their children. She didn't want to admit that she was nervous for the real world, a world without Hogwarts and her friends and being safe within the walls of school. After this year that was it, she had to find a job and start her life, it all happened much too fast. When you're young you look up to big kids and wish for nothing more to be them, tall and strong and older. But once you are that big kid you just want to be young again, a small first year who has so much to learn and do and explore. Dominique sighed softly and played with the hem of her dress, she was ready to make her seventh year the best. 485 - OPEN - outfit |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px;]MARIUS NATHANIEL BLACK [style=background-image:url(http://i922.photobucket.com/albums/ad62/RatedRCouturegfx/RPG/AndrewGarfield/09.png); width: 400px; height: 200px; float: left; margin-right: 8px;] Marius slowly walked through King's Cross, his twin siblings in tow, as they made their way to platform nine and three-quarters. He lugged his luggage behind him as he listened to his brother and sister ramble on about what this year was going to be like. He stayed quiet, trying to make sure they didn't miss their destination. Their father was unable to see them off again this year. He had to work. They weren't the most well-off family but they tried to make the best of it. Marius had become the the man of the house for when his father was out. It was his job to watch out for his siblings and make sure they didn't get into troubel...or died.
As they reached the wall between platforms nine and ten, Marius stepped aside. "You two first. I'll follow behind," he informed them. They gave each other a look before heading toward the wall and disappearing behind it. Marius chuckled, almost surprised they hadn't called him dad. Lately they had taken to calling him that because he ordered them around like a father would trying to protect his loved ones. He didn't necessarily disagree that he wasn't acting that way though. Shrugging, Marius walked through the barrier.
His siblings had already gone on their own way. Marius slightly laughed under his breath. It was just like them to go find their own adventures without a word of leave. He made his own way onto the train, looking for someone he knew or at least somewhere he could sit. Most of the compartments were already full of friends laughing and hugging and sharing their summer stories. He wondered what they would talk about once the train actually started to go.
Continuing his way down the train's corridor he finally found an empty compartment, but stepping inside he noticed it was actually occupied. Her hair was blond and she wore a blazer and dress. She looked liked someone from his own year, but he was unsure. He honestly didn't really know many people by name. Only by face.
Knocking on the wall he asked, "You mind if I sit here?" He took a step inside and placed his hands in the pocket of his pants, awkwardly towering over the girl. "Everywhere else is full and I haven't really seen anyone I know." Marius stood awkwardly, waiting for a response from the girl while he tried to piece together who she was. She was just too familiar, but he couldn't place her name. He was sure they must have had classes together. He hoped she would introduce herself, but she seemed much too like one of those girls who thought everyone should know them. [/style] |

"I left your bags on the curb, sorry" He smirked to indicate he was kidding, Dom knew he wasn't that cruel, he was a great little brother. Dominique rolled her eyes and pointed to the seat across from her "Sit with me Lou?" she knew this was a long shot question and wasn't surprised when Louis shook his head at her. "Nah I actually have friends waiting for me, see you at school" He left Dom with a dumbstruck look on her face, her brother impressed her, maybe she was rubbing off on him. Once again Dominique was alone, it wasn't that she didn't have friends, she just chose to not hunt the train for them. Looking at Dominique you would think she was one of those people who always needed eyes on her and always needed to be around people, but that wasn't true. She wasn't desperate for attention, growing up she had so many cousins and aunts and uncles that she never had to worry about being forgotten. She was always surrounded by family, even when she wanted to be alone she couldn't. It was a blessing and a curse to have such a big family but Dom wouldn't trade it for the world, her family was the most important thing to her. Dominique pulled out a fashion magazine she brought with her and began flipping through the pages, how much longer until they got there? Another sound made her look up abruptly to see a young man standing at the door. He looked incredibly familiar, she was sure she knew that handsome face somewhere, like she had probably been seeing his face for years. Quidditch, she was pretty sure this boy was on a quidditch team but his name escaped her, or even which team he was on. "Yes of course" she smiled sweetly, gesturing the the seat in front of her. She was no longer alone and had the company of a handsome boy, her seventh year was off to a good start. "I'm Dominique Weasley" She held out her perfectly french manicured hand to the boy. "I know I have seen you around quiet a lot so you must be in my grade right? Seventh?" she was pretty sure she had classes with him since first year, how odd that they hadn't met until now. 409 - OPEN - outfit |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px;]MARIUS NATHANIEL BLACK [style=background-image:url(http://i922.photobucket.com/albums/ad62/RatedRCouturegfx/RPG/AndrewGarfield/09.png); width: 400px; height: 200px; float: left; margin-right: 8px;] Marius laughed to himself as he took a seat. She didn't know who he was just as well as he didn't know her. However, he know knew that her name was Dominique and she was a Weasley. He put on a smile and replied with his own name. "Marius Black. I'm a Ravenclaw and being a Weasley it would be my guess that you are a Gryffindor."
He felt a little awkward, but it was a feeling he was used to. He wasn't around people he didn't really know very often and definitely not people he actually had to talk to. He would admit it though, he could be rather shy, but it was a work in progress. Life was a work in progress.
"Yeah, I'm a seventh year," Marius answered awkwardly once again. He tried to straighten himself out, but only shrunk beneath his lankiness and height. He probably seemed like a loser in this girl's eyes and soon she might realize he was one of her top competitors for being top in their class. There were a few extremely intelligent students among the seventh years, and he was quickly remembering that Dominique was one of them. It answered why she would be picked as head girl.
He was never good at small talk. He wasn't really good at making conversation. period. "You're head girl, I see," Marius rather dumbly pointed out. He wanted to smack himself in the face. Here was an attractive girl and he wasn't being very smooth or suave. That was more of his brother's place. He scratched the back of his head, unaware of where he was planning on going with his words. He knew all the reasons why one would be picked for the position. He knew himself that he was never picked for either it or being a prefect because it wasn't really something he wanted and he would never be able to get much of anyone in trouble, so he said a simple, "That must be nice."
That wasn't good either. Marius laughed at himself again, mimicking himself in his head but outwardly moving his head and lips as if he was doing it someone he disliked. He was much too awkward. "Sorry. I mean. I think." He paused to snicker at himself once more. He couldn't even think straight enough to get out what to say. "Sorry, I'm not very good with talking." He shrugged at Dominique. Hopefully she was much better at holding a conversation. He felt bad that he wouldn't be much entertainment for her, unless she found his pitiful self as funny as most did. He sure would be laughing at himself if he could watch himself. He apologized once more. [/style] |

She had been in many classes with him over the years. He never spoke much, rather quiet. How odd it was that they were just now officially meeting for the first time in seven years. It was funny how people came together and how things worked out. "Nice to meet you Marius and your guess is correct, all of us Weasleys are Gryffindors" She laughed softly, it was odd how all of the Weasleys were put into Gryffindor, she always thought of herself as more of a Ravenclaw but it must have been her loyal heart and strong will that the sorting hat decide to stick her in Gryffindor. This was a bit awkward, two people who had been in countless classes together just meeting now and being in a small train compartment made it even more awkward. Marius didn't seem like much of a talker, but lucky for him Dominique was good with people and loved to talk. "I can't believe we are in our seventh year, time flew by it doesn't feel like seven years already."Dom smiled when Marius mentioned her being head girl. It was true it was very nice, Dominique was honored, and proud of herself for working so hard. She was on top of her class, maybe not number one in her class but close. she spent most of her free time over the years studying and tutoring and doing homework. Her parents were ecstatic when she received the letter and she wore her badge proud. "Well I don't really know what to expect yet, guess I will get the hang of it once we get to school, honestly I'm a bit nervous." It was true, what if she wasn't a good head girl? What if she screwed everyone up and no one liked her. she could tell Marius was nervous, it was cute. He was searching for words and kept coming up short. It made Dominique laugh softly, not meaning to laugh at him, his soft deposition was something Dom liked. She already liked this boy, he wasn't loud or outgoing like Dom but it was nice talking to someone who wasn't like her. she patted his knee softly with a smile. "It's fine don't worry" She leaned back in her seat, her fingers palying with the hem of her dress. "So, last year of Hogwarts. Any idea what you want to do after you graduate?" There we go, a conversation starter, something that got the ball rolling. Dom was great at talking, Marius had nothing to worry about. 434 - MARIUS/ROBYN - outfit |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px;]MARIUS NATHANIEL BLACK [style=background-image:url(http://i922.photobucket.com/albums/ad62/RatedRCouturegfx/RPG/AndrewGarfield/09.png); width: 400px; height: 200px; float: left; margin-right: 8px;] Marius could only really reply with a 'yeah'. He did agree that the seven years had seem to flown by. He could faintly remember getting onto the train his first year. His father, brother, and sister had all come to see him off. He felt rather proud being the first in his family to attend such an honorable school. It wasn't an exclusive school, but it was one of the best in the world and being able to go to it was one of the best things he had ever experienced. He seemed to soak up every bit of information he was taught, and soon found that he actually enjoyed school.
As the subject turned to being head girl, Marius smiled. Nervous. He was always a nervous person. She was much more cool and collected. There was no way she was nervous. "I would be too," he replied anyway. He really wasn't one for trouble. Sure he often got dragged into trouble but getting others into and what not, wasn't really his thing.
He felt like a small child as Dominique pat his knee. He probably seemed like it too with all his awkward and nervousness. It still didn't suit him though. He was quite the opposite of a child. He was rather intelligent, and could speak well in the face of a class when answering questions or participating in discussion but when it came to just normal talk and sometimes just talking to girls, words didn't seem to come out of his mouth at all.
Dominque was good though. Of course she was. She seemed to know just how to get things rolling. "I actually want to be writer. Realistic or historical fiction most likely, maybe even nonfiction if something exciting were to happen in my life." He could write. That was a definite, but as any writer would agree, getting an idea for a story was extremely difficult. There was so much to explore. You could completely come up and write out characters, plots, and settings and find one detail that would completely ruin it and the idea would be thrown out.
He thought for a moment, staring at the wall behind Dominique. "I suppose I'll end up helping my father in his shop or maybe I'll travel somewhere and do charity work. 'You know? Get an experience." Hopefully she understood the hardships of trying to become a writer. It always seemed like an author had to go through some kind of life changing experience before their mind opened up and ideas started rolling. "What about you?" He laughed quietly at his next thought. "All the Weasley's seem to end up working at the ministry." [/style] |
