patronus:
When Ophelia conjured her first patronus, she could honestly say she wasn’t surprised. A wisp of white smoke swirled before her and took the defining shape of a fox with large ears. It crept around the room, slyly, like it were a true living animal. Though finding her fondest and happiest memory had made it hard for her to accomplish the spell. It seemed that anything superficial didn’t work, it had to be the truest moment she’d ever had. So she pushed her mind back to simpler days, when she was just a little thing running around in the awful dresses her mother had put on her. The memory she came across, that happened to be the one that worked, was of her and her sister playing in the gardens at their home. They were having a mini tea party, clinking their glasses and giggling before drinking the imaginary tea.
mirror of erised
To live up to her parents’ expectations.
When Ophelia steps in front of the mirror of erised she sees herself, standing tall and beautiful. More beautiful than she could ever imagine, she’s successful and rich. Beside her stands a man, a pureblood wizard, his arm tightly around her waist. She doesn’t look happy, but happiness was never in the equation. Her parents stand behind her, hands on her shoulder’s smiling. They’re proud of their daughter and the name she had made for herself.
loathes:

secrets:
She just wants affection. Ophelia has a nasty reputation, she likes her men, what’s a girl gonna do? What she doesn’t want to say is that for a moment it feels like they care about her. That’s all she wants. Someone to care for her.
She will never admit it, but she is terrified of the new dark power that is rising. She is scared to know what that means for her family.
She’s a huge bookworm. She reads everything, she just know how to use it for her advantage.
dementor:
Ophelia’s worst memory is one that she doesn’t like to talk about. In fact, if she can keep it from ever being known by a single soul, she will. It wasn’t terrifying in the sense of werewolves creeping around her house or vampires in her closet. It was situation where she was completely powerless and out of control. Seeing as her family is pureblood, they like to have little parties with lots of guests. It was nearly impossible to keep track of all the people filing into their home. She had been getting ready in her bedroom when someone came in. The lights went out and she laughed, thinking it was just her sister playing a prank on her. She went to grab her wand, but it wasn’t there. Her body got pressed to the wall, a hand gripping her throat, crushing her. Tears pooled in her eyes, her hands grasped at the strong one that held her. Her world was spinning, the shadows were pooling together. A voice, ever so familiar whispered in her ear, “You’ll regret ever leaving me.” She felt as if she were going to faint, until her mother’s voice rang out in the hall and the hand let her go. She didn’t tell anyone, she just faked ill and stayed in her room for the rest of the night. The voice had belonged to an ex-boyfriend.
boggart:
Not being good enough.
Being alone.
Failing her classes
personality:
Trying to sum up Ophelia is like trying to put a phenomenon into words. There are some people who feel emotions and some that truly experience them. There are also the people that feel them stronger than others. Lia is this person. Her emotions run high and vary constantly. When she gets angry, she is livid. When she’s sad it’s the end of the word. It isn’t that she wants to be this way, she can’t help it. She just feels too much and too deeply. She has a tendency to put all of her heart into something without second thought. She loves to easily, she hates just as quickly. Her insecurities fly off the handle, she’s jealous and angry. Something that she spends time actually trying to fix. Like every other person she has her ups and downs, she just deals with them differently.
Ophelia does have her strong points as well as her weaker ones. She is a very determined girl. She sets her mind to something and aims to accomplish it, there isn’t any room for failure. She keeps up with her classes and actually enjoys staying up late to study. The sleep that welcomes her after a long night is usually the most rewarding. She refuses to not pass any of her classes. As a student she does have her favorite classes, the one’s she particularly good at. She excels in the Dark Arts, her curiosity for it almost unnatural. She longs to learn more at a faster pace than the other students, but getting a teacher to give her the time of day is a challenge in itself. Ophelia studies some of it on her own, finding books in the library and reading them. She is also very good at Transfiguration, she finds it fun and difficult in a pleasing sort of way.
The girl has an uncanny ability to manipulate other people. Her way of using words and actions to her advantage is almost scary. She doesn’t completely enjoy toying with people, but sometimes it is nice to get what she wants without having to get into an argument over it. It isn’t her fault that a few words can bend someone’s mind into the direction she wants it to go. As a Slytherin, she is ambitious. It’s practically a given in her house to be this way. She strives to be the best, her mind set on bigger and better things outside of Hogwarts. Unlike most of her fellow housemates, she isn’t down right cruel. She just has a fiery attitude that gets her into trouble. She’s kind and affectionate to those she cares for, but she isn’t afraid to step on the people she doesn’t like.
Ophelia is a tired girl. She finds it exhausting trying to keep up with everyone else and trying to be better. She isn’t comfortable with who she is and her awful reputations prove that. To those who pay attention. She has gotten herself a title of being a little bit of a tramp. She knows people think it, but she doesn’t try to put their rumors to rest. If they talk, they talk, she deals with it in her own ways. She isn’t the good girl out of the twins and she wishes she was. But she gets attention, people want to talk to her and about her, even if they aren’t good things. She just wants someone to realize that she isn’t half bad. With the friends she does have, she is fiercely loyal and protective over them. She sticks up for them and defends them when they need her, and sometimes when they don’t. She’s constantly trying to make them laugh, being somewhat of a goof to put a smile on a face. She isn’t afraid to be a little quirky with those that truly know her. Her sharp tongue and sarcastic remarks aren’t taken seriously by those she spends her time with.
Overall, Ophelia is just a high strung teenage girl. She’s a little quirky and tends to get herself into trouble by running her mouth, but she can’t help it. It is who she is. An emotional basket case hyped up on caffeine and chocolate. Of course she is going to be a little crazy.

history:
It was April fourteenth when Ophelia and Juliette Zabini were born into the wizarding world. The parents had named their daughters after two famous women in Shakespeare’s plays, though Ophelia often wondered if they had realized they’d named their children after doomed women.
It didn’t take much for people to notice that these two girls were as different as possible. Ophelia had the looks of her father’s side of the family with her dark skin and curly black hair. Her gift from her mother was her eyes, soft hazel doe like eyes. As the two girls grew up they began showing signs of magic at an early age. Ophelia had a knack for getting the toys she wanted without having to leave her play pin. They grew up as happy as could be in their pleasant home in Puddlemere.
The twins spent their childhood years close, spending every waking hour together. They played together, ate together, and so on. They held exquisite tea parties in their mother’s garden, only their imaginary friends were exclusive enough to be invited. They were forced to wear identical dresses and ridiculous hairstyle, courtesy of their mother. Though that never seemed to bother them. Ophelia loved her sister dearly, she loved going on grand adventures in the backyard, only to come home covered in dirt.
At age eleven both girls received their letters to Hogwarts. Ophelia wasn’t able to contain her excitement, finally she was going to go to school. She was going to learn about magic and learn how to use it. Their trip to Diagon Alley was pure chaos. Ophelia wanted to go to all the book shops before she even got her wand or robes, she was too eager and it got her a scolding or two.
The day of the Sorting ceremony was stressful. Ophelia was terrified that she wasn’t going to be placed into Slytherin, she had to be placed in that house. She wasn’t going to disappoint her family before she even started school. The hat was place gently on her head and she heard a deep voice whispering in her ear. “You have a great mind, but…SLYTHERIN!” It shouted and she hopped off the stool to scurry to her new home.
The next few years proved to be a challenge, but the greatest years of her life. Ophelia lost friends, gained friends, had her fair share of boys, and late nights in the library. She got herself a reputation and a few detentions for running her mouth to her teachers. She lived every second of school, but kept her grades high. Now she is in her sixth year of school and fretting over classes just as much as she did before.
